How are Regulatory Bodies shaping the future of cryptocurrency?
๐ฆ๐ช Having read VARA, I agree with one of Crypto's respected International voices โ Anton Golub โ that the world needs to learn from the UAE's regulatory approach.
๐ณ๐ฌ My opinion: Nigeria should improve its regulatory approach โ even if all cryptocurrencies โmay beโ classified as securities, certainly not Bitcoin! Regardless, the country continues to lead Africa in this innovation as the Powerhouse.
๐ฎ๐ณ And what about India? Great people & vibe! But a 30% flat tax on profits from trading crypto, 1% TDS, 4% cess alone by its government is outrageous โ and the recent 18% GST on CEX fees! No official Framework yet. Only a heavy crypto tax regime. Now, here's another opinion: India needs crypto as much as Asia needs a Crypto India to lead the region.
Meet my guest speakers for this month's ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐episode โLive on ๐โ featured on Apraemio:
We're always happy to have Lumi Phillips back on the Show at Apraemio; resident in Dubai along with her Team, Lumi is the Co-founder of Axiom Recruit, helping Web3 Talents around the World.
Favour Uche is one of Nigeria's brilliant crypto lawyers that I knowโ a Product Manager and an amazing lady. But itโs going to be a hard talk. Let's hope she doesn't take me to court after this episodeโhaha!
Lastly, I've a good friend with me, Manashi Bharati, an Indian marketing expert with over 5 years of experience in marketing crypto projects. Also, Top Voice here on LinkedIn.
Join us as we unpack frameworksโfrom Dubai's VARA to Nigeria SEC Rules under ISAโand even the EUโs MiCAR (where Apraemio falls under). Speaking of regulations, I must mention the newly enacted GENIUS & CLARITY Acts, which are already shaping the ๐บ๐ฒ American crypto landscape.
Don't miss out!
